Returns, Replacements & Warranty Policy
At Bread Basket Company, we stand behind the quality, durability, and everyday performance of our Australian-made bannetons.
Our bannetons are designed for home bakers, micro bakeries, wholesale customers, and commercial bakeries who need reliable proofing baskets that are easy to clean, easy to store, and built for long-term use.
Please read our returns, replacements, and warranty policy below before placing your order.
Change Of Mind Returns
We do not accept returns or refunds for change of mind, incorrect product selection, or general wear from normal use.
Please review all product details carefully before completing your purchase, including product dimensions, dough capacity, bundle quantities, and shape options.
This includes orders where the wrong size, shape, quantity, or bundle has been selected at checkout.
Damaged, Defective Or Incorrect Items
If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, we will replace the affected item at no cost.
To request a replacement, please contact us within 7 days of delivery and provide:
- Your order number
- Clear photos of the damaged, defective, or incorrect item
- A brief description of the issue
- Photos of the original packaging, where relevant
Please keep all original packaging until your claim has been reviewed. Once approved, we will arrange a replacement as promptly as possible.
Refunds
Because our policy is focused on replacement of damaged, defective, or incorrect items, refunds are not provided for change of mind, incorrect selection, general wear, or products that have been used as expected.
Where a refund is required under Australian Consumer Law, it will be assessed in line with your rights as a customer.
10-Year Banneton Warranty
All Bread Basket Company bannetons are covered by a 10-year warranty against faulty workmanship and material faults.
This warranty applies to our bannetons when used and cared for correctly under normal baking conditions.
What The Warranty Covers
Our 10-year warranty covers manufacturing-related issues such as:
- Structural defects
- Material faults
- Cracks or deformities caused by manufacturing issues
Approved warranty claims may be repaired or replaced at our discretion.
What The Warranty Does Not Cover
Our warranty does not cover:
- General wear from normal use
- Cosmetic marks, surface scuffs, or discolouration
- Misuse, neglect, or incorrect storage
- Damage caused by improper cleaning
- Impact damage, dropping, crushing, or mishandling
- Exposure to extreme heat, extreme conditions, or unsuitable environments
- Change of mind or incorrect product choice
- Damage to non-banneton accessories unless required under Australian Consumer Law
Dishwasher Use
Many of our bannetons are designed to be easy to clean and dishwasher safe. Please check the relevant product description and care instructions before cleaning.
Damage caused by dishwasher use is not covered unless the product is clearly specified as dishwasher safe and has been used according to the care instructions.
How To Submit A Warranty Claim
To lodge a warranty claim, please contact us and provide:
- Proof of purchase
- Your order number, if available
- Clear photos of the issue
- A short explanation of how the product was being used
- Any relevant details about cleaning, storage, or handling
We will review your claim and let you know the next steps. Approved warranty claims will be repaired or replaced at our discretion.
Custom, Wholesale And Bulk Orders
For custom, wholesale, or bulk banneton orders, please review your order details carefully before confirming your purchase.
We do not accept returns for incorrect quantity selection, incorrect shape selection, or change of mind on bulk orders. If your wholesale or bulk order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us within 7 days of delivery so we can assess and resolve the issue.
